Hi, I’m Cassady.

I help people experiencing anxiety, depression and low self-worth to move into a place of healing, self-acceptance and confidence.

I love working with people who want support and freedom from their own beliefs that they are not good enough. Many of us feel we must be a certain way before before we can feel good about ourselves, which often leads to emotional rollercoasters, toxic self-talk and unhealthy coping. My goal is to promote healthy self-esteem by providing insight, tools and a safe place to be yourself.

I tailor my approach based on the specific goals and strengths of the client and am trained in EMDR and Medical Family Therapy. I am EFT-informed and utilize relational, solution-focused and narrative interventions.

Along with my specialized training, I also have personal experience living with type 1 diabetes for over 25 years and believe there is a strong connection between the mind and the body. I am passionate about sharing strategies (a fair amount of which I have learned hard way!) that address issues like adjusting to a new diagnosis and disease burnout (among others) because I'd like to save you some time, wheel-spinning and goose-chasing.

When I’m not working, you can find me traveling the world (hopefully soon!), going for walks or watching cooking shows with my husband and two cats.

Aside from my professional training, I have spoken at events put on by other organizations including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, the College Diabetes NetworkType 1 United (formerly Camp Leo + ConnecT1D), and the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America. I have been a guest blogger for Kerri Sparling's Six Until Me and WeAreDiabetes.org, and founded the Type 1 Diabetes support group at the University of Washington Diabetes Institute . I am also the Vice President of the Board for Type 1 United., an organization local to the Pacific Northwest that works to build community and address the psychosocial needs of children, families and adults living with T1D.
